Comfortable home environment for older relatives

About Sentosa

Home has always been the right place

We started Sentosa because older people deserve to stay comfortably at home, and the families who love them deserve good support to make that happen.

Our Story

Built from a family's own experience

Sentosa grew out of a straightforward observation: families in Kuala Lumpur who wanted to keep older relatives living comfortably at home often had no clear source of coordinated, practical help. The individual pieces existed — grocery services, community programmes, occasional helpers — but pulling them together into something reliable was left entirely to whoever in the family had time.

We set up Sentosa to fill that gap. Our name carries the idea of a settled, peaceful household — the kind of calm that comes when routines are in order and families feel confident about what's happening at home. That's the atmosphere we try to create through every arrangement we put in place.

Working in Kuala Lumpur since our founding, we've built strong familiarity with the city's neighbourhoods, its delivery networks, its community organisations, and the particular rhythms of Malaysian family life. We understand how important festive occasions are, how much food preferences matter, and how easily a family's coordination can become fragmented when everyone is busy.

Our arrangements are not prescriptive packages. Each one starts with a conversation about your relative's daily life and your family's capacity, and we build something from there that genuinely fits.

How We Work

Our standards in every arrangement

We hold ourselves to consistent practices across every family we work with, because trust is built through reliability.

Clear initial agreements

Before any arrangement begins, we document what's been agreed, the scope of coordination, and how communication with the family will work. No assumptions on either side.

Household data kept private

Information about your relative's routines, preferences, and household details is used only to deliver your arrangement. It isn't passed to third parties and is stored carefully under our privacy framework.

Regular check-ins with families

We schedule brief updates at agreed intervals so families always know how things are running. Concerns are addressed promptly rather than left to accumulate.

Written plans, not verbal assurances

Every arrangement we put in place is documented. Families receive a written support plan and timeline so that any family member can understand what's been arranged, not just those who were present at the initial discussion.

Arrangements adapted over time

A family's needs at the start of an arrangement are rarely identical to their needs six months later. We build in regular review points so that what we do continues to reflect the actual situation at home.

One clear contact for the family

Families don't need to navigate a large organisation to reach us. You'll always have a named person at Sentosa to contact — someone who knows your situation.

Home coordination for older relatives in Kuala Lumpur

Families across Kuala Lumpur — from Bangsar to Mont Kiara, from Cheras to Damansara — face a similar situation: an older relative living at home, a family that cares deeply and tries hard to stay involved, and a gap in the practical coordination that makes it all work. Sentosa sits in that gap.

We work with households where the older family member has their own routines, preferences, and ways of doing things. Our job is to make those routines easier to sustain, not to replace or reorganise them. Whether that means planning weekly meals around familiar tastes or helping a family coordinate a birthday gathering that doesn't feel overwhelming, we start from what's already working and build carefully from there.

Malaysian families often have strong extended networks but complicated schedules — children living in Petaling Jaya while their parents are in KL city, siblings in different time zones, routines interrupted by festive seasons and school holidays. Sentosa provides a steady thread through all of that. We keep the household organised, keep family members informed, and handle the coordination so that time together can be spent on what actually matters.

Our approach to household coordination draws on practical experience, genuine familiarity with Kuala Lumpur's community resources, and a straightforward respect for how each household wants to be run. That combination is, in our experience, what families actually need — not programmes or protocols, but someone reliable who knows what they're doing and communicates clearly.
